Nov. 28th, 2007 marks my 29th year on this planet. I can't deny that last year was one of the best birthdays I've ever had. I had recently gone through a divorce and I was trying to make sense out of everything that had happened. My life seriously had taken a very bizarre turn from the year before. The summer of 2006 was pretty miserable. I did have a lot of good friends reach out to me and make things easier, but it was pretty devastating all the same. I guess that is why my birthday was so fun last year. Because much of the year was miserable. It was a turning point in my life. I wasn't going to be sad anymore. I wasn't going to be frustrated. I was going to return to enjoying life. I was going to be optimistic about my future. I was going to refocus my attentions on achieving the things that I wanted.
Last year, I purchased tickets to see Alice in Chains and went with my brother. We had an awesome time and the concert was pretty boss. The next morning I was on Kevin and Bean's What It Do Nephew. I went to Outback Steak House for dinner, which is a favorite eatery.
And spent a good part of the day drunk. And then a couple of weeks later partied with some of my dearest friends.
This year is looking up. I'm going to P.F. Changs with my family. And Saturday I plan to go party with some of my dearest friends to celebrate. I'm not really expecting this year to measure up to last year. It can't. I was down for so long it was one of the few bright spots of last year. This year, I really haven't been down. I'm having a good year. I'm thankful for that. And to top things off, my brother is taking me to see... Alice in Chains. I guess he figured he do me a solid and take me to see one our favorite bands. Not to mention, we'll be seeing Velvet Revolver.
Like I said, this year has been so much better than last year. This birthday won't be as uplifting as last year, but I look forward to having a great time.

Telegraph Rd. Show Nov. 23
I'm bummed, because I won't be able to attend. But come see my good pal C-Los and Co. perform some very fine music. Y is one of the BEST songs. And if they are feeling really generous maybe you'll be lucky enough to hear Space Age.

I miss summer already
Its official. Fall is here. It's getting cold. And yes, living in Southern California our Summers last longer. But damn it all, I miss the beach already. I miss spending Saturdays with my daughter at the beach. I miss watching the foamy water making sweet love with the sand. I miss the ballads the Ocean would sing to us.
The good news its that it's only about 7 months away.

Got to know when to fold 'em
Saturday Night Live... no not the television show. The gaming night at the Stewart/Chuvanvanijkul household saw a lot of good times.
Lets start with upon arrival the house rules are if you want it, then help yourself. The bar was open, so I poured my beautiful Girlfriend a Screwdriver like concoction, that substitute sweet OJ for the bitter taste of Sunny Delight? And what is so damn delightful about that god awful drink anyways? I made myself a nice little Vodka Sprite drink. I don't know if that has an official name, but lately Sprite with Vodka, Rum, or any kind of cognac seems to be my cup of tea. So while waiting for some long lost friends, I sipped my treat while watching Ehren and Chris play the Simpson's game on the PS3. Amazing graphics and looks fun.
First to arrive was Neil. The last time I saw him was for a brief moment in passing at BJs. And a few months ago saw him at Oneida's house. It was very cool to spend the evening with Neil, because he was probably one of my closest friends at Best Buy. We worked together so closely for so long, I think Neil is one of the few people at Best Buy I ever really trusted and would have gladly hung out with him any time.
Secondly was Patrick and his girlfriend Christine. Patrick and I have an Angel bond. And were the minorities of the night. Patrick was always a funny guy, but damn is he funny when he drinks.
Third were the King Brothers. Rudy and Ozzy. I always liked both of those guys so far this night was looking to be real fun.
And lastly my boy the Grand D-K, Dan. My brother. I hadn't seen him forever. Dan always comes through with a case of beer. And this time it was Pacifico.
It wasn't long before I was drinking Dos Equis and Pacifico and laughing my ass off. Not only that, but with a $10 buy in, I won a cool $50. The funny thing about it is, everybody at the table had more Poker Experience than I. This was an awesome night. I ended up buying into one more tournament, just so I didn't cause a riot.
But I had a great time. Saw some old friends. And won some cash. What a good night.
Maybe my play at Bodog helped. Maybe it can help your game.
