So how can you make a movie with two talented actors who I enjoy make a movie that I don't enjoy... I don't know. Maybe add a lethal dose of Robin Williams and a shot of an annoying little fat kid. What makes it worse is that the creepy relationship between Rev. Frank and the "Choir Boy" are too familiar of the recent litigation filed in Southern California about people being abussed by their priests. Multiple scenes included the "Choir Boy," which they couldn't even bother to give him an actual name, is seen with the Reverend at all hours of the days. But this is only the half of it.
This show movie is filled with half-hearted attempts at comedy. And I could only imagine that if this was a TV show, I would have gladly changed the channel. I understand the idea of the movie. But it just seems that maybe if BJ Novak of the Office would have written this, it might have been leaps and bounds better then what it was. Which was a waste of 2 hours of my life that I won't be getting back.
