Long Beach Armada of Los Angeles of California of the United States of North America Including Barrow, Alaska

For Your Consideration;

It wasn't but 3 weeks ago I made my first trip to Blair Field. Blair Field is home to not only the California State University: Long Beach 49ers aka Dirtbags, but it is also home to Golden Baseball League's(GBL) Long Beach Armada. Or as they are now known as Long Beach Armada of Los Angeles of California of the United States of North America Including Barrow, Alaska. Which is a shot at Arte Moreno and his Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Armada are the 3rd professional baseball team to play at Blair Field; Armada(GBL) and Long Beach Riptide/Barracuda(Western Baseball League.) The Armada's most notable player was former MLB and reality star Jose Canseco.

Despite the obvious shots at Arte Moreno and the Angels I thought I'd give them a shot. I had never been to a minor-league baseball game. In Southern California alone, there are 4 Minor-League affiliated baseball teams. Long Beach is close to home. So that's where I decided to go. Not to mention that it was $2 Golden Biersch night. We got our drinks and settled in for a game. Long-Ball wasn't so much a factor in this game. But Fundamentals were refreshing. When people ask me how the game was, I always recall the most fantastic bunt, I had ever seen.

If you are a fan of baseball, you really should check them out. However, you are going to have to wait until next year. There season ends on the road at the end of this month. However, my goal for next year is to catch a couple of more Armada games next year. Maybe even dedicating a few days to check out some more games from the GBL, like the O.C. Flyers.

Thanks for reading.
