For the 3rd time in 4 years. The Angels win the American League West. This would also be the 4th time since 2002 that the Angels have made it to the Post-Season. In a year plagued with injuries the Angels stood strong. And when many would question who is the premier baseball franchise in Southern California. The Angels have proved beyond a shadow of the doubt that the Angels are not only the premier franchise in California, but maybe the best baseball franchise in the Western Division for either league.
When some would quote history, as an indication of the legitimacy of a franchise, note that the production of the Angels in this decade is far superior of what the Dodgers have done, what the A's have done, and I would probably only cite the San Diego Padres as a team with as good production as the Angels, but are still missing the Ring. Remember folks, the last World Series ring in California has Anaheim written next to it.
